The decision to seek therapy can often be a difficult one. Whether it is for yourself as an adult or for your child, or a child you care for, it can bring about feelings of vulnerability. It can feel like a significant risk.
When working with clients my aim is to ensure you feel comfortable and safe. I take a warm and compassionate approach, knowing that the client’s relationship with their therapist is a vital first step in beginning to share our own stories and experiences. Through the development of a safe space, alongside specific therapeutic techniques, I aim to support clients in moving forward to enhance their life in accordance with their values.
My individualised approach, tailored to meet the needs of the client, draws upon a range of therapeutic models. These include, CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) whilst always being informed by attachment informed perspectives.
